PHPForms is a form creation tool that lets users build a custom from without code. The application utilizes a WYSIWYG editor that lets the user view all stages of creation. A drag and drop layout format makes it easy for users to add fields or move them. Users can build as many forms as they want and include as many fields as they need in each form. Completed forms can be previewed before publishing so users can double check for any errors or misplaced fields. PHPForms offers pre-designed widgets that let users save time when creating specific types of forms, such as confirmation boxes and file uploaders. Additional features include validation rule sets, multi-page format support, IP banning capabilities, Captcha codes and mail notifications.Show more screenshots »
PHPForms was launched in January of 2003. The application is owned by Prima DG LTD. Even though the application has been around for a while, it hasn’t received any notable attention from media or users. PHPForms offers a number of convenient tools that let users create functional, professional looking forms without worrying about code. Enticing as that is there are many competitors in the form building arena which have, so far, managed to eclipse PHPForms.
PHPForms offers users all the typical features that most expect from modern form builders. The application’s primary appeal lies in its interface and usability. The application is very manageable and makes it easy for even the most novice users to construct a form suitable for a professional or popular website. The user can customize the fields and reposition until they have a form that suits their needs and matches their sites current style or format.
PHPForms provides users with an interface that removes much of the challenge in form building. Users with little to no form creation experience can easily construct a functional form for just about any purpose. The interface is well-organized and requires minimal instruction to understand. The user selects fields and can drag and drop existing fields until they are happy with the layout of their new website form.
A new user can register for a PHPForms account by clicking the orange “Sign Up” button in the upper, right hand corner of the homepage. The next page asks the user to choose their preferred subscription plan. The next step requires a desired account name (which will be the user’s PHPForms URL), email address and password. Users who choose the paid subscription are also asked to supply their billing details.
PHPForms offers its users one paid and one free subscription option. The free plan includes access for two users, up to three forms, unlimited fields per form, up to 100 form submissions per month and 10 MBs of storage space. The Advanced plan costs $15 per month and includes unlimited users, unlimited forms, unlimited monthly submissions, CSV export, SSL encryption and no advertisements. A standalone version is also available for $39.95.
PHPForms is a helpful tool for anyone who needs a form for a website or blog. The application caters to users with little to no form building experience. The user interface makes it significantly easier to create a functional form without spending too much time learning how to code or design. The application is relatively inexpensive as well, allowing almost anyone to easily fit it into their monthly budget.
